“Craic agus Ceol”
The UK's #1 Irish/Country/Rock Band
Donnybrook Fair has been rockin' and rollin' since their formation almost 20 years ago. Recent years has seen the band spread their music wider with tours of France, Spain, Ireland, Wales, and the length and breadth of the UK.
Although the Donnybrook Fair sound is most commonly called 'Celtic Rock', that label, as often can be, is misleading.
"The Irish influence is there, certainly, but it's not the only influence that rears its head on their CD's, or in live shows. After all, several of the band members have no Irish roots of any kind. That was always the idea" Joe explains.
Even though two of the band members are from Ireland, a lot of the music they listened to growing up wasn't Irish at all, but when they got together they developed a new appreciation for Irish Music.
"Having a whole album of new songs really invigorates the live show for us and makes it exciting all over again" says Dan. "It's like a shot in the arm every time we go through this process."
